2 Simple Tips to Finally 'Have Enough Hours in the Day'

Have you ever made a to-do list and not finished it that day?


I’m betting that’s a ‘yes’.



We often overestimate what we can do in a day, and underestimate what we can do in a year.


The problem with consistent overestimation:


-      It leaves you disappointed that you didn’t accomplish everything you set out to do.


-      Some important things are left undone.


So there are two ways to prevent this consistent feeling of not having enough time.


1.  Prioritize your list and don’t make it as long.

Keep a running list of things separate from your actual list for the day.

Only include the things that MUST get done TODAY on that list. Be ruthless.



2.  Ask yourself: Am I taking responsibility for how I spend my time?

Are you checking email more than 3 times a day?

Are you sucked into your FB or IG feed?

Are you ‘multi-tasking’ and spending a lot of time task switching?


There is nothing wrong with those things – but if they are squeezing your available time and leaving less for the things that are most important – it’s time to limit them.


Stay true to your top priorities, and anything that doesn’t fit gets the boot.


Prioritize, and be honest. Those are the tips to stop feeling like you have no time or feeling like you suck because you never get everything done.
